Emily L Paul

Emily L Paul has over 15 years of experience in the field of life sciences, having worked in various roles in research, teaching, and management. Emily L has experience working in academic and industry settings, such as Health Research, Inc., Boston Children's Hospital, and SOPHiA GENETICS. Their expertise includes chromatin structure, transcriptional regulation, and genetics. Emily L started their career as a Research Technician at Saint Francis Care, where they specialized in bone biology. Emily L later worked at the University at Albany as a lecturer, where they taught Genetics/Neuroscience. Emily L joined Health Research, Inc. as a Graduate Research Assistant and later rose to become a Postdoctoral Research Affiliate, where they worked on the Global Positioning of the Mediator Complex in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Emily L then worked as a Research Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital, where they determined the influence of chromatin structure on fetal globin repression. Their most recent role was at SOPHiA GENETICS, where they worked for four years, first as a Subject Matter Expert, then as the Head of Subject Matter Experts for North America, and finally as the Director of Subject Matter Experts, Americas. Emily L also worked as a Site Manager and a Product Director for the Genomics Platform. Emily L is currently a Director of Product Delivery-Clinico-Genomics at Ontada.

Emily L Paul received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2004. Emily L then went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Biomolecular Science from Central Connecticut State University, graduating in 2006. From 2007 to 2012, Emily pursued their PhD in Biomedical Science with a focus on Molecular Genetics at the University at Albany, SUNY.
