Barbara Gilbert

Barbara Gilbert is an experienced professional in the arts sector with a strong focus on media arts and program management. Currently serving as the Media Arts Officer at the Ontario Arts Council since June 2020, Barbara has held multiple leadership roles, including Artistic and Executive Director at Le Labo, where significant contributions included managing budgets and launching artist residency programs. With a Master of Fine Arts in photography from Concordia University, Barbara has also coordinated national training programs and managed various arts education initiatives across Ontario, emphasizing diversity and professional development. Notable previous positions include Project Manager at the Ontario Museum Association and Local Organizing Committee Coordinator for the Global Pound Conference.
