Garth Smith

VP, Business Development & Partnerships at Ontario Brain Institute

Garth Smith is the Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships at the Ontario Brain Institute. Garth has over 15 years of experience in product and business development in the life sciences sector. Prior to joining the Ontario Brain Institute, Garth was the Business Development Officer at UHN Technology Development and Commercialization, a consultant at GS Consulting, and the Director of Drug Development at Cannasat Therapeutics. Garth has also worked as a Senior Investment Consultant for the Government of Ontario and as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University Health Network.

Garth Smith has a PhD in Neurophysiology from the University of Cambridge. Garth also has an MSc in Neurophysiology from The University of British Columbia, and a BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto Scarborough.

Garth Smith reports to Tom Mikkelsen, President & Scientific Director. They work with Laurel M. Campbell - VP, Finance & Operations, Julia Cheng - Financial Planning & Budget Officer, and John Clarkson - SVP, COO.
