Gaurav Kumar

Gaurav Kumar currently serves as Utilities Manager at the Ontario Energy Board since April 2023. With extensive experience at Hydro One from 2008 to April 2023, Gaurav has held various leadership roles, including Senior Manager of Distribution Investment Planning, where responsibilities included managing annual capital expenditures for a distribution network catering to over 1.4 million customers. As Manager of Large Customer Account Management, Gaurav led a team of account executives, achieving record customer satisfaction scores. Gaurav's earlier roles involved capital investment planning, reliability risk modeling, and engineering design, contributing to a total investment portfolio valued at $150 million annually. Additionally, experience as a lecturer at the University of Toronto included teaching engineering design courses from 2012 to 2015. Gaurav holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Toronto, focused on the impacts of energy storage in Ontario.
