Usman Zahid

Usman Zahid is a seasoned Senior Policy Advisor with extensive experience in the Ontario public sector, currently serving in the Assistant Deputy Minister's Office at the Ontario Financing Authority since May 2021. In this role, Usman provides strategic advice and manages workflows to support key provincial initiatives, including the Ontario Budget. Previously, Usman held positions as Senior Policy Advisor in both the Ontario Ministry of Finance and the Ontario Financing Authority, where responsibilities included managing critical portfolios and advising on fiscal impacts within the electricity sector. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto and an Honors Specialization in Economics from Western University, complemented by a Leadership Education and Executive Development Certificate from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
