Anna Panchenko is a Professor and Canada Research Chair Tier 1 at Queen's University and serves as a Senior Investigator at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, roles held since July 2019. Previously, Anna held various positions at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) from 2000 to June 2019, including Lead Scientist and Associate Investigator. Anna's research focuses on estimating the effects of cancer mutations on protein function, identifying mutagenic processes in cancer, constructing maps of human protein interactomes, and understanding chromatin function at the nucleosomal level. Anna received a Ph.D. in Biophysics from Lomonosov Moscow State University and a Bachelor's Degree from the same institution. Additionally, Anna has training from the School of Chemical Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
