Marija Orlic-Milacic is a highly experienced scientific associate and biocurator at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research since January 2011. Prior to this role, Marija served as a research fellow at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health from January 2009 to December 2010 and worked as a graduate research assistant at the Ontario Cancer Institute between February 2002 and September 2007. Marija holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Medical Genetics from the University of Toronto, completed in 2007, along with a Registered Microbiologist credential from the Canadian College of Microbiologists. Marija also earned a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Physiology from the University of Belgrade in 2001.
