Gina Freitag is a seasoned professional in film and event management, currently serving as a Training and Event Producer for the Ontario Library Association since November 2022. With extensive experience as a freelance writer and editor, Gina has contributed to notable publications, including "The Dys-Comforts of Home in Quebec Horror Cinema" in *A Cinema of Pain: Essays on Quebec's Nostalgic Screen*. Previous roles include managerial positions at Wattpad focusing on culture, engagement, and wellness, as well as various administrative and coordination roles across prominent organizations such as the National Film Board of Canada and the Toronto International Film Festival. As the founder and co-organizer of the Cellar Door Film Festival, Gina has played a crucial role in advancing film culture in Ottawa. Gina holds an M.A. and a B.A. (Honours) in Film Studies from Carleton University.
