Amanda Thompson

Amanda Thompson currently serves as a Senior Policy Analyst at Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada since April 2024. Previously, Amanda held positions as a Policy Analyst and Crisis Response Coordinator at the Ontario Native Women's Association from September 2021 to March 2024. From September 2020 to September 2021, Amanda worked as a Substance Abuse Counsellor at the Inuuqatigiit Centre for Children, Youth and Families, and as a Substance Abuse Counsellor at Youth Diversion from April 2019 to August 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Crisis Counsellor and Rehabilitation Counsellor at Addictions Mental Health KFL&A, as well as a Treatment Counsellor at Ongwanada. Additionally, Amanda was an Education Assistant at the Limestone District School Board and a Residential Counselor at Community Living Kingston and District between 2013 and 2016. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Queen's University (2016-2020) and an Advanced Diploma in Behavioural Science from St. Lawrence College (2011-2014).
