Svetlana Lazareva is the founder of ImmPress Institute, where the mission focuses on representing the interests of Canadian immigrants through education, research, and advocacy. Since June 2011, Svetlana has served as an educator with the Ontario Nurses Association. Previous experiences include volunteering at ideacity in June 2016, managing PLAR (Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition) and serving as an adviser at York University from January 2009 to December 2010, working as a public health nurse for York Region from January 2009 to February 2010, and serving as a school settlement worker at Catholic Community Services from February 2007 to January 2009. Earlier roles encompassed managing director at Education Centre Razdolie from January 2003 to January 2006 and nursing at Regional Clinical Oncology Hospital from September 1995 to January 2006. Svetlana holds a Master of Education from Ulianovsk Pedagogical University, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Ulianovsk Pharmaceutical College, and additional education from Seneca Polytechnic.
