Jordan Black

Jordan Black, P.Eng, currently serves as Senior Manager of SMR Development at Ontario Power Generation, where responsibilities include leading initiatives for Small Modular Reactor projects in Canada and building strategic relationships to enhance SMR deployment. Prior experience includes a secondment as Licensing and Environment Director at Global First Power, overseeing licensing and regulatory activities for a Micro Modular Reactor project, and various managerial roles focused on engineering strategy, equipment reliability, and performance engineering within OPG. Jordan holds a B.ScE and BA in Chemical Engineering and Global Development Studies from Queen's University, a Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Ontario Tech University, and has completed additional professional development in operations management and nuclear engineering. Leadership experience also includes serving as President of the Engineering Society at Queen's University.
