Subo Sinnathamby

SVP, Nuclear Refurbishment at Ontario Power Generation

Subo Sinnathamby is the Senior Vice President – Nuclear Refurbishment at Ontario Power Generation. She has responsibility for all aspects of the refurbishment of the remaining three units of the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station, to prepare the plant for 40+ additional years of low-cost, safe and reliable power generation. As a member of the Enterprise Leadership Team, Subo is also a director on the Atura Power board.

Prior to her current role, Subo was Vice President - Inspection & Reactor Innovation (IRI). In this role, she was accountable for specialized inspection and maintenance across all major components on OPG’s Nuclear and Renewable Generation stations, including Darlington Refurbishment, with an annual operating and project portfolio of $200M and workforce of over 500. Subo was responsible for delivering IRI’s internal innovation efforts and support for the enterprise. She was accountable for leveraging IRI’s internal capability and restructuring, to expand service offerings to the broader CANDU fleet.

Since joining Ontario Power Generation in 2001, she has held a variety of leadership positions in her 19 year tenure with the organization. Subo is a graduate from the University of Guelph, with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Environmental Engineering and has been a member of the Professional Engineers Ontario since 1998

Subo is married with two daughters.
