Ryan Slate is a seasoned secondary teacher with extensive experience since September 2006 at the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation, specializing in Physical Education, Guidance Counselling, and Special Education. Previous roles include Athletic Director, Teacher, and Coach at Grenville Christian College, where Ryan convened leagues, built a rowing program, and hosted tournaments. As an owner/driver in the hydroplane racing league from December 2017 to November 2019, Ryan combined a passion for sports with entrepreneurship. Athletic experience includes being an athlete for Rowing Canada Aviron and serving as an Infantry Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Ryan's education includes a Teacher's College degree from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor's Degree in Military and Strategic Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada. Furthermore, Ryan has pursued additional training as a Coach Developer in rowing.
