Philomena Ashakah

Philomena Ashakah is an experienced event planning and coordination professional with a strong background in hospitality and customer service. Currently serving as a Tour and Events Coordinator and Administrative Assistant with the Ontario Government since September 2020, Philomena provides program support to the Special Needs Unit and processes applications for departmental programs. As Co-Founder and Event Planner/Coordinator at High Society Creations, expertise includes handling weddings and special occasions. Previous roles include Event Specialist at Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality, where Philomena assisted clients with event planning needs, and Event Operations Manager for WE.org, managing large-scale events and a substantial budget across North America, the UK, and the Caribbean. Philomena's career began as a Front Office Agent at Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport. Educationally, Philomena holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Hospitality Operations Management from George Brown College.
