Rafael Prota Barroeta has a diverse work experience in strategic marketing, new services development, strategic planning, and management. Rafael has held various positions in different companies throughout their career. Currently, they are the Vice President of Strategic Marketing for the Europe Division at Ontex. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Marketing and New Services Development for the Healthcare Division at Ontex. Before joining Ontex, Rafael worked as a Strategic Planning and Marketing Manager at Ontex, where they played a crucial role in assisting the Health Care Business. Rafael also served as the Business Unit Manager for the Health Care Division Iberia at Ontex, where they achieved annual sales and profit objectives, formed a new sales team, and integrated a family-owned company into a multinational management company. Additionally, they oversaw the relocation of the company's headquarters from Barcelona to Segovia and established the Logistics and Customer Service departments. Before joining Ontex, Rafael worked at SCA Hygiene Products as the Regional Sales Manager and Key Account Manager, handling a team of medical delegates and managing large cooperatives. Rafael started their career as a Product Manager at Novartis.

Rafael Prota Barroeta obtained a Master's degree in Dirección Comercial y Marketing from IE Business School in 1997-1998. Rafael also holds a Bachelor's degree in Farmacia from Universidad de Alcalá, which they earned in 1986-1991. Additionally, they have received several certifications in various subjects related to pricing strategy, change management, customer experience, training, and design thinking from LinkedIn in 2020-2021.
