Jamie O. has a comprehensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. They started their career at Marconi PLC as an Implementation Engineer in 2001. They then joined Andrew Corporation as a Project Engineer, RF Planner, and IT Manager, where they supported the network rollout of TETRA for the Emergency Services Network across the UK and performed RF planning for 2G and 3G dense urban coverage.
In 2005, Jamie O. moved to Alan Dick Communications Ltd as an RF Consultant and Project Deployment Engineer, where they designed and commissioned Special RF Solutions systems for cellular operators. They also performed RF planning and implementation using Wi-Fi/WiMAX technology.
They then worked at CommScope as a Senior Project Design Engineer and at Greenwoods Communications as an RF Technical Project Manager in 2010.
From 2011 to 2015, Jamie O. held multiple roles at Virtua UK Ltd, including Head of Technical Solutions, where they were responsible for the delivery and execution of the Technical Solutions department. They also served as a Technical Business Development Manager, temporarily placed at O2 Telefonica on the Smart Metering Infrastructure Programme (SMIP), and as a Technical Lead and Project Manager on the Huawei Vodafone Retail Stores upgrade programme. They also served as a Technical Project Manager at EE for the LTE network rollout.
In 2016, Jamie O. returned to Virtua UK Ltd as a Technical Project Delivery / Principal Solutions Architect, accountable for managing the delivery of critical projects and providing managerial support.
Jamie O. then transitioned to CTIL in 2017 as a Technical Programme Manager, responsible for the programme management and technical delivery of the City of London Corporation Wireless Concession. They also worked at INTERACTIVE MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS LIMITED as a Technical Programme Manager in the same year.
Currently, Jamie O. holds the position of SVP Technical Strategy & Innovation (IMS) at Ontix since 2018.
Jamie O. attended The University of Hull from 1999 to 2000, where they pursued a degree in Tetra & Telecommunications. Prior to that, they attended Great Yarmouth High School from 1990 to 1992. Before high school, Jamie O. studied at Burnt Mill Comprehensive in Harlow, Essex from 1988 to 1990. Jamie O. also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2013, they received the "Wray Castle - Essential LTE" certification from Wray Castle. In 2010, Jamie O. became a "Certified 'System Specialist' for Alvarion WiMAX products - BreezeACCESS VL/BNETB" from Alvarion Technologies. They also obtained the "Wray Castle - WiMAX Overview, Radio Systems/Principles & GSM Optimisation" certification in 2010 from Wray Castle. Earlier in their career, Jamie O. achieved the "RSA Concepts of Information Technology Stage 1 (Distinction)" in 1993 and the "RSA Computer Literacy & Information Technology Stage 1 (Distinction)" in 1992, both from RSA, The Security Division of EMC.
