Kevin Barbera

Kevin Barbera has extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Kevin currently holds the position of Sr. Director of Service & Support within the Lithography Business Unit at Onto Innovation, starting in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ASM Nexx Inc. from 2018 to 2022, where they held multiple senior director roles, including Sr. Director of Customer Satisfaction and Support, and Sr. Director of the PVD Business Unit. Before joining ASM Nexx Inc., Kevin worked at Tokyo Electron NEXX Inc. from 2012 to 2018, serving as Director of the PVD Business Unit and Director of Customer Support Operations. Kevin worked at NEXX Systems from 1999 to 2012, holding the role of Director of Service & Reliability. Kevin also has experience at Analog Devices Semiconductor as an Equipment Engineer from 1988 to 1999, and at GTE Sylvania as an Engineer from 1986 to 1988. Kevin started their career in the United States Navy, serving as an AQ1 (Aviation Fire Control Technician) from 1980 to 1986. Throughout their career, Kevin has demonstrated expertise in service and support, customer satisfaction, and strategic planning in the semiconductor industry.

Kevin Barbera has a diverse education history. In 1987, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Kevin completed this program in 1997.

In 2009, Kevin enrolled at Villanova University to obtain a Master Certification in Project Management (PMP). Kevin successfully completed this program in 2010, further enhancing their skills in project management.

In 2012, Kevin attended Villanova University once again, this time to earn a Six Sigma Green Belt certification, focusing on process improvement methodologies.

More recently, in 2020, Kevin enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Kevin'sstudies concentrate on Systems Engineering and Business Management.

Alongside their formal education, Kevin has obtained various additional certifications. Notably, in 2017, they completed courses in "Getting and Cleaning Data" and "R Programming." In 2018, they furthered their programming knowledge by completing courses in "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" and "Python Data Structures." In 2019, they expanded their programming skills with courses in "Intro to Programming with MATLAB" and "Python Basics." Kevin also holds certifications in "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" (obtained in 2017) and "Leading vs Managing" (obtained in 2022) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Microsoft Excel© for Accounting" from Wiley in 2022.
