Vanese Lau

Vanese Lau has extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Vanese has held various positions in different companies, starting with their current role as HR Manager (SEA) at Onto Innovation since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an HR Manager and HR Business Partner at Onto Innovation, starting in April 2021.

Before joining Onto Innovation, Vanese worked at ST Engineering as an Assistant Manager HR (HRBP) for a short period in 2018. Vanese also served as an HR Manager at EPD Singapore Services Pte Ltd from August 2012 to February 2018, where they were responsible for managing personnel policies and procedures, staffing matters, and the on/off-boarding process.

Additionally, Vanese has experience as an Assistant HR Manager at International Press Softcom Limited and Philips Electronics in 2011. Prior to that, they joined EPD Singapore Services Pte Ltd in 2009 as a Human Resource Manager, where they played a pivotal role in setting up the company's HR department and overseeing recruitment, payroll, and benefits administration.

Vanese's earlier career includes positions as a Recruitment Consultant (IT Practice) at Manpower Staffing Services (S) Pte Ltd and a Customer Service Assistant at Aspial Lee Hwa Corporation in 2007. Vanese also worked at EDS International c/o SSMC from 2002 to 2006, starting as an Industrial Attachment student and eventually becoming a CIM Associate Engineer (IT), where they supported and maintained IT operation systems in a manufacturing plant.

Overall, Vanese brings a wealth of diverse HR experience from different industries and has shown a track record of successfully managing HR functions and supporting business goals.

Vanese Lau completed their education with a Diploma in Electronic, Computer, and Communication from Nanyang Polytechnic, which they obtained between 1999 and 2002. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information System at Victoria University in Melbourne, which they successfully completed between 2008 and 2009. Lastly, in 2010 and 2011, Vanese furthered their education by undertaking a postgraduate program in Human Resource Management and Talent Management at SHRI.
