Jas Nijjar has a diverse work experience in various industries. In 2007, they worked as a Spark-Watch/Watchman at Tolko Industries, where they performed security rounds and monitored pressure valves for safety. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at U-Haul International, Inc. as an Equipment Repair Tech/Customer Service, where they conducted maintenance, repairs, and assessed lighting issues of trucks and trailers. In 2013, they joined Adtronics as an Electrical Engineering Technologist, focusing on LED sign module repair, installation, and wireless control design. Jas then worked as a Project Manager at NRG Electric Ltd. from 2014 to 2019, overseeing projects in the electrical industry. From 2019 to 2021, they held the role of Project Manager at Houle. Currently, they are the COO & Co-founder of OnTraccr Technologies, a company that provides automation software for construction contractors.
Jas Nijjar pursued their education in Engineering, specializing in Electrical Engineering. Jas first attended Simon Fraser University in 2008, where they enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Science program. After a year, they transferred to The University of British Columbia in 2009, where they completed their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013.
