Oliver Leach

Oliver Leach has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Oliver began their career as the owner of Jakoll Audio, a company that provided high-spec audio equipment for events and functions. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the business, including marketing, finance, sales, and setup.

After their time with Jakoll Audio, Oliver joined WPO as an Operations Engineer. Here, they managed several onshore wind farms across the UK and Ireland, equivalent to 150MW. Oliver'sresponsibilities included ensuring contractual obligations were fulfilled, analyzing performance and downtime, project planning, coordinating with technical services teams, maintaining records of operations and maintenance activities, and compiling monthly operations reports for the wind farm owner. Oliver also developed systems and procedures for asset optimization and liaised with clients and asset owners.

Oliver then transitioned to the role of Operational Controller at WPO. In this position, they were responsible for applying Wind Turbine Safety Rules on operational wind farms. Oliver'sduties included controlling and monitoring access to the sites by contractor personnel and other parties, ensuring H&S documentation was in place for maintenance work, assisting the HSEQ team with data gathering for reports, and developing procedures for other Operational Controllers. Oliver gained familiarity with various OEM SCADA systems during this role.

More recently, Oliver joined ONYX Insight as a Consultant Engineer, where they provided expert engineering consultation. Oliver then served as a Sales Engineer, utilizing their technical knowledge to support and drive sales. Currently, Oliver holds the position of Business Development Manager - UK & Nordics at ONYX Insight, where they are responsible for developing business opportunities in these regions.

Throughout their professional journey, Oliver has demonstrated strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Oliver Leach attended The Manchester Metropolitan University from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their degree, Oliver has also earned several certifications. In 2015, they obtained the CSWA - SolidWorks (Associate) certification from Solid Solutions - SolidWorks Reseller. In 2016, they received the CSWP - SolidWorks (Professional) certification from the same institution. In 2017, Oliver obtained the IOSH - Managing Safely certification from PHOENIX HSC (UK) LIMITED. Furthermore, in 2018, they earned multiple certifications including Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) from Setters, GWO Sea Survival from Complete Training Solutions, GWO Fire Awareness from Advanced Industrial Solutions (AIS), GWO First Aid from heightec, GWO Manual Handling from Advanced Industrial Solutions (AIS), and GWO Working at Heights & Rescue Training from heightec.
