Thomas Newton

Thomas Newton has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy sector. Thomas began their career as an intern at Zuri Zanzibar Resort, where they worked on improving energy efficiency and implementing renewable energy systems. Thomas then joined Pure Energy Professionals Ltd. as an engineering student, contributing to a confidential project on establishing a private wire renewable energy connection for a dairy processor. Thomas later interned at Lightsource BP as a data analyst, analyzing and modeling PV performance. Thomas'smost recent position was as an Energy Projects Officer at Nottingham City Council, where they were responsible for overseeing solar PV installations and providing consultancy services to local authorities and commercial organizations. Currently, they work as a Software Developer at ONYX Insight.

Thomas attended Hockerill Anglo-European College from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate degree. From 2015 to 2018, they studied at the University of Exeter and received a first-class honors Bachelor of Engineering degree in Renewable Energy Engineering. Finally, from 2018 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Energy and Entrepreneurship at the University of Nottingham.
