Zhiwei Zhang has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Zhiwei started their career as a Research Engineer at Romax Technology in July 2008 and worked in various roles such as Project Manager/Dynamic Analyst and Assistant General Manager (China) before being promoted to the position of Deputy General Manager (China) in August 2012. In August 2013, Zhiwei became a Senior Sales Manager and later transitioned into the role of Senior Technical Specialist in April 2014. From October 2014 to September 2015, they served as an InSight Engineering Manager. In October 2015, Zhiwei was appointed as the VP Engineering at Romax Technology, a position they held until March 2019. In April 2019, they joined ONYX InSight as the VP of Engineering.
Zhiwei Zhang's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University (CN), which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, which they completed between 2003 and 2005. Following that, Zhang attended Loughborough University, where they achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from 2005 to 2008. In 2017, they took part in an Executive Program for Growing Companies at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, adding to their educational qualifications.
