Elena Rico

Elena Rico has a diverse work experience history. Elena worked as an R&D Manager and R&D Project Coordinator at Onyx Solar Energy from November 2014 onwards, where they were responsible for managing and leading R&D activities, preparing proposals for various funding sources, and coordinating R&D projects. Prior to that, they worked as an R&D Project Manager at the same company from March 2014 to November 2014.

Elena also held the position of Secretary of the Board of Directors at Cluster de Energías Renovables y Soluciones Energéticas en Castilla y León from January 2015 to December 2017. In this role, they ensured the fulfillment of the cluster's objectives, acted as the secretary at board meetings, and performed various administrative functions.

Before their roles in the renewable energy sector, Elena worked as a waitress at Camino in 2012 and as a shop assistant-bartender at The Bread Shop in 2011. Elena also worked as a Contract Researcher at Universidad de Salamanca from 2007 to 2010. Elena began their career with a Quality Control Internship at LA ISCARIENSE in 2005, where they conducted quality control activities in the preparation of French fries, nuts, and snack products.

Elena Rico has a diverse educational background. Elena completed an R&D Management Program at the Agencia de Innovación, Financiación e Internacionalización Empresarial de Castilla y León (ADE) in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) or research methods in Inorganic Chemistry from the Universidad de Salamanca in 2009. Elena also holds a Master's Degree in Teacher Training in Physics and Chemistry, which they earned from the same university in 2009. Before obtaining their master's degree, Elena completed a Bachelor's thesis in Inorganic Chemistry at the Universidad de Salamanca in 2008. Elena began their educational journey by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the same university in 2007.

Aside from their formal education, Elena Rico has also obtained additional certifications. In 2012, they achieved the First Certificate in English at the Council Europe Level B2 and received a Cambridge ESOL Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International from London. In 2010, Elena became a member of the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Doctores y Licenciados en Filosofía y Letras y en Ciencias del distrito universitario de Salamanca, with the registration number 5.752.
