Diego Piacentini

Diego Piacentini is a Director at OODA Health. Prior to that, they were with Exor Seeds, Apolitical, View Different, The Economist, KKR & Co. Inc., and Convoy Inc.

From September 2016 to October 2018, Piacentini served as the Government Commissioner for the Digital Agenda / Commissario Straordinario per l’Agenda Digitale for the Italian government. In this role, they founded the Government Digital Transformation Team and hired 30+ top technology, cybersecurity, UI/designers, and other profiles from private companies to work on key Public Administration digitization processes.

Piacentini was also a member of the Italian Government delegation at the G-20 meetings in Hangzhou, China (September 2016), led the innovation sessions of the G-7 ministerial meetings in Turin, Italy (September 2017), and signed in Estonia the Tallin’s Digital Declaration on behalf of the Italian Government (October 2017). During their tenure, they also represented the Italian Government in the EU e-government permanent steering committee.

Diego Piacentini received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Università Bocconi.
