Andrea Vlassis-Zahn

Andrea Vlassis-Zahn has a diverse work experience spanning from 2000 to 2023. Andrea has worked as a Technical Account Manager for Ookla; Direct Services Functional Disaster Program Manager for American Red Cross; Idaho Broadband Development Coordinator, International Trade Specialist, and Business Attraction Specialist for Idaho Department of Commerce. Andrea has coordinated events and programs as the Coordinator for Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, worked as an Executive Assistant for Idaho Business for Education, and as an Administrative Executive Assistant for OCI-Oppenheimer Companies, Golbon. In addition to this, they have worked as Tasting Room Manager and Events Coordinator, Assistant Tasting Room Manager and Events Coordinator for Precept Brands/Sawtooth Winery, Event Production Assistant and Office Manager for Opts Ideas, and Customer Service Representative/Sales for Jetstream Aviation. Their career began as a Flight Attendant for Horizon Air.

Andrea Vlassis-Zahn graduated from Clackamas High School in 1996. In 1998, they earned a certificate in Esthetician from Cosmetology school. From 2009 to 2010, they attended College of Western Idaho to get a certificate in Event Management. In 2012, Andrea earned an AA degree in A.A. Business - General from College of Western Idaho. In 2016, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing and Related Support Services at Boise State University. In that same year, they also earned a Certificate in Cider & Perry Making and Production from Oregon State University. Andrea received a number of certifications, including Database Management from Boise State University, Marketing & Business Attraction from the International Economic Development Council, and ITAR Export Controls & EAR/OFAC Export Controls from the Export Compliance Training Institute, Inc. - ECTI. In 2017, they attended Northwest Community Development Institute for a year where they completed Year 1 of the program. In 2018, they completed Year 2 of the program, as well as a certificate in Basic Economic Development from the International Economic Development Council. In 2019, they finished Year 3 of the Northwest Community Development Institute. Their latest certifications were earned in 2022 and 2023 which included, Introduction to Relational Database and SQL, SQL for Data Science, Understanding Basic SQL Syntax, GIS Basics from Esri and Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) from Coursera.
