Jake Nunn

Jake Nunn has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Jake started their career as an Information Technology Intern at LGE Community Credit Union in 2003. Jake then interned at JBoss, Inc. as a Professional Support Intern in 2005. In 2006, they worked as an Information Technology Intern at Red Hat. From 2009 to 2016, they worked at Cisco as a Software Engineer, where they developed driver, component, and application software for video set-top boxes and gateway devices. Jake also worked on streaming video management software for head-end systems. In 2018, they joined Outreach as a Software Engineer, focusing on front-end web development for their sales engagement platform. Their responsibilities included using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, and some Ruby and Rails. Currently, since 2019, Jake works at Ookla as a Software Engineer, primarily creating native applications for their Speedtest apps on various platforms, including iOS, macOS, tvOS, and Android. Notably, they developed the Speedtest VPN feature and a streaming video quality of service testing feature for the Speedtest iOS app.

Jake Nunn's education history begins with their high school education at Alan C. Pope High School, where they pursued a College Prep degree from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Furthermore, Jake Nunn has also obtained a certification as a Certified Mentor from Mentorloop in June 2022.
