Jon Davis

Jon Davis has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Jon is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at Oomnitza, where they focus on assuring the security of customer data and overseeing the IT department. Previously, Jon worked as the Director of IT & DevSecOps at BeyondID, where they built teams and processes to scale the organization securely. Jon also held multiple roles at Smule, Inc., including Head of Global Security & IT Operations and System Administrator, where they built and led security and IT teams. Jon was also a DevOps Architect at TrueAccord, responsible for technical operations and information security. Earlier in their career, they served as the Facilities & IT Manager at Okta, Inc., overseeing all internal technical services. Jon's experience also includes being a Senior IT Manager at Tribal Technologies, supporting internal IT and production site operations, and an Office IT Manager at Wikimedia Foundation. Jon began their IT career at Airframe Business Software, where they held roles as an IT & Configuration Manager and QA Lead. Jon also briefly ran their own IT consulting company, Snowulf Labs, providing a range of IT services to small businesses. Throughout their career, Jon has demonstrated a strong focus on security, scalability, and IT operations.

Jon Davis completed their Bachelor of Art degree in Photography from Sierra Nevada College, where they attended from 2001 to 2007. Prior to that, they studied at Diablo Valley College from 1999 to 2001, without obtaining a degree or field of study.

Additionally, Jon Davis has earned several certifications throughout their education and career. In May 2009, they obtained the CompTIA A+ (IT Technician) certification from CompTIA. In February 2010, they received the Technician Class Amature Radio certification from the Federal Communications Commission. Furthermore, in October 2015, they achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. Jon continued to enhance their skills by obtaining the CompTIA Network+ CE certification from CompTIA in May 2011. Lastly, in September 2017, they earned the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services.
