Rachel Heidenry has held a variety of roles in the art and education industries. In 2011, they were a Research Scholar for The Fulbright Program, where they researched post-war mural painting in El Salvador and documented over 600 examples of contemporary mural painting, graffiti, and political propaganda. Rachel also curated and realized a photography exhibition and held workshops on the history of mural painting for young adults. From 2012 to 2018, they held various roles, including Writer & Editor, Research & Curatorial Fellow at Slought Foundation, Research Assistant at Judith E. Stein, and Exhibitions Assistant at NYU Institute for the Study of the Ancient World. In 2018, they began working at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art as an Education Consultant, Manager of Docent & Academic Programs, and Curatorial Assistant of Contemporary Art. In 2022, they started a Digital Project Manager Apprentice role at Viget, and in 2023, they became a Digital Project Manager at Oomph, Inc.
Rachel Heidenry completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Art History, Modern & Contemporary from The Institute of Fine Arts, NYU in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art History, Human Rights from Bard College in 2011. Additionally, Rachel has obtained four certifications: Digital Project Management from SuperHi in June 2022, Project Management Foundations from LinkedIn in May 2022, SEO Foundations from LinkedIn in February 2022, and a Figma Training Course from SaaS Design in November 2020.
