Saim Yaksan

Saim Yaksan is the Group Chief Transformation Officer at Ooredoo Group. Saim has over 17 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.

Saim started their career at Vodafone Group Limited in January 2004 as a Senior Supply Chain Manager. In December 2007, they were promoted to Supply Chain Manager at Vodafone D2 GmbH, Germany.

In January 2009, Saim joined Vodafone Procurement Company as Head of Corporate Services. Saim was promoted to Head of SCM in August 2009 and held this position until they left the company in July 2011.

Saim then joined MTN - Dubai as General Manager Technology Procurement in August 2011. Saim was promoted to Chief Procurement Officer at MTN Group in August 2014 and held this position until December 2016.

In December 2016, Saim joined MTN as Chief Group Transformation Officer. Saim left the company in March 2020 and joined McKinsey & Company as a Senior Vice President in March 2020. Saim left McKinsey & Company in October 2021 to join Ooredoo Group as their Group Chief Transformation Officer.

Saim Yaksan has a Dipl.Kfm from the University of Cologne and also studied at Dublin City University.

They work with Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari - Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Abdulla Ahmad Al Zaman - Group Chief Financial Officer, and René Werner - Group Chief Strategy Officer. Saim Yaksan reports to Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani, Group CEO .
