Anssi Heikkinen

Director, Developer Competence Area at OP Financial Group

Anssi Heikkinen has a diverse work experience in the IT industry, with a focus on enterprise architecture, cloud advisory services, and project management. Anssi is currently the Director of the Developer Competence Area at OP Financial Group, where they are responsible for driving cloudification and core platform renewal initiatives within the OP Insurance domain. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Melkki, where they provided consultancy sales and project deliveries in the areas of enterprise architecture and cloud advisory services. Anssi also supported customers in IT infrastructure transitions as an external project manager. Before joining Melkki, Anssi worked as a Technical Service Manager at the European Investment Bank (EIB) and as an Enterprise Architect/Product Owner at OP Financial Group, where they were responsible for infrastructure solutions and platform consolidations. Anssi also worked at Nordea, where they served as an IT Business Driver and later as an IT Analyst, handling project portfolio management, business support, and service management tasks. Anssi began their career as a Thesis Worker/Trainee at the University of Jyväskylä, where they worked on the Finnish Enterprise Architecture Research (FEAR) project and focused on national enterprise architectures and governance models.

Anssi Heikkinen earned a Master of Science (Economics) degree in Information Systems Science from the University of Jyväskylä, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. In addition, Anssi has obtained various certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, AZ-301 Microsoft Azure Architect Design, Amazon Web Services SysOps Administrator - Associate, Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate, ITIL (2011) Expert, CobIT Foundation, Prince2 Foundation, and ITIL v3 Foundation. These certifications were obtained between 2011 and 2023 from institutions such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), AXELOS Global Best Practice, ISACA, and APMG International.
