Ismo Nurmela

Ismo Nurmela has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the technology industry. Ismo began their career at Nokia Telecommunications as a Tester and later worked as a Technology Manager and Team Leader in the Manufacturing Technology department. In 2001, they transitioned to Nokia, where they held roles such as SW Product Development Manager, Integration Product Development Manager, and Test Team Leader. During this time, they were responsible for managing teams and ensuring the successful development and launch of mobile devices. From 2007 to 2009, they served as a Chief Architect and R&D Manager at Nokia, focusing on touch device programs and user experience. Ismo Nurmela also worked at OP Financial Group, where they held multiple roles such as Competence Lead, DevOps and Reliability Engineering, and Agile Master of System Team, ensuring employee development and promoting the use of DevOps and Agile methods. Additionally, they co-founded Tuparent Oy and served as Founder and CEO, and held positions at Saagatec Ltd., including Chairman of the Board and VP Operations. Ismo Nurmela has a strong background in technology, project management, and leadership.

Ismo Nurmela obtained a B.Sc degree in Automation from Polytechnics of Oulu in 1995. Ismo has also acquired several certifications in various fields, including Azure architecture and services, cloud concepts, Agile development practices, and Lean software development. Ismo Nurmela has obtained these certifications from Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK).
