Joonas Viljakainen

Joonas Viljakainen has a diverse work experience. Joonas started their career in 2015 as an Assistant in Web Services for City of Jyväskylä, where they managed and maintained websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Joonas also implemented a web application and provided training to staff. In 2016, they worked as a Transcriber at Inscripta Oy. In 2017, they became an Office Assistant at H&A Team Oy. In 2018, they joined OP Financial Group as an APIDoc-trainee, focusing on developing API documentation and guidelines. Joonas later moved on to Opset Oy in 2019 as a Developer before returning to OP Financial Group in 2020 as a Developer and Chapter Lead.

Joonas Viljakainen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki from 2018 to 2025. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters at the University of Jyväskylä from 2010 to 2016. Joonas has also obtained additional certifications, including Serverless Static Websites on AWS and Learning Spring with Spring Boot from LinkedIn, and AWS Certified Developer – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2020.
