Sami Tikkanen

Sami Tikkanen is the Chief Executive Officer and Rector of Ekami, the South Kymenlaakso Vocational College, overseeing strategic and operational management, administration, RDI, finance, and stakeholder relations since August 2010. Additional roles include Vice Rector and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Authority of Education of Kotka-Hamina region, and Board Member for various organizations such as AMKE ry and the Kotka Maritime Research Centre. Sami Tikkanen possesses extensive educational qualifications, including ongoing doctoral studies in Administrative Sciences at the University of Vaasa and an Executive MBA from the University of Jyväskylä. Past leadership includes directorships in vocational education and training institutions and chairmanships on boards focusing on education and technology training.
