Hector Rojas

Hector Rojas has extensive experience in the automotive and lighting industries. Hector currently serves as the Head of Quality Americas region at Plastic Omnium, where they developed a comprehensive plan resulting in a significant reduction in customer incidents, a decrease in scrap, and an increase in overall equipment effectiveness. Prior to this role, they were the Head of Quality Management Americas at OSRAM Lighting SA.

Hector also worked at Magneti Marelli, where they held various positions including NAFTA Lighting Body and Electronics Quality Manager, Program Manager, and Internal Quality Manager. In these roles, they successfully launched high complexity programs, reduced change implementation time, conducted root cause analyses, and implemented quality improvement projects. Hector was also responsible for plant quality new projects, instrument clusters, plant quality indicators management, and warranty analysis.

Before joining Magneti Marelli, Hector gained early experience as a Quality Assurance Intern at Volkswagen de México. Hector worked in the electrical and electronic laboratory, where they developed electrical network simulators and testing equipment for various electronic devices.

Hector Rojas obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. Hector also holds additional certifications including IATF 16949 (obtained in 2021), ANPQP (obtained in 2014), IPC-A-610 (obtained in 2014), and ISO/TS 16949.
