Sam Geiger

Sam Geiger currently serves as Vice President at OPAL Fuels LLC since August 2018. Previously, Sam Geiger held several commanding officer positions within the U.S. Navy, including leading the USS SAN JUAN (SSN 751) and USS TOLEDO (SSN 769), both with comprehensive oversight of operations, maintenance, logistics, and personnel management for nuclear-powered submarines. Additional roles in the U.S. Navy include Operations Officer for CTF 69 and Executive Officer for the USS CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI (SSN 705). Prior experience includes serving as Operations Branch Chief for the Joint Special Operations Command. Sam Geiger holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, an MBA from the University of Connecticut School of Business, and another Master of Science in Engineering from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
