Melissa Parsons

Melissa Parsons has worked in the tech industry since 2013, starting with an IT Analyst Internship at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Melissa then held a Web Developer Internship at CONNX Solutions and a Business Tools Support Engineer role at Microsoft. In 2015, they took on a Technical Consultant role at RAF Technology, followed by a Service Engineer role at Microsoft in 2016. In 2018, they became the Co-Founder and Lead Developer at NewPoint.io, while also freelancing and working contracts. In 2020, they began working at Microsoft as a Data Engineer and at Opala as both a Data Engineer and Data Analyst.

Melissa Parsons holds a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Washington in Informatics, Mathematics (computer science, info architecture & design, DBs, systems analysis). Melissa has also attended Coding Dojo for Full Stack Development, UW Professional & Continuing Education for Information Security and Risk Management, North Seattle College for Computer Hardware, Issaquah High School, and True Martial Arts.
