Terry Virdell has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. From 1997 to 2020, Virdell has held various roles at various companies. In 1997, Virdell was the Owner of VirtualforSaleByOwner.com, where they created and designed a website for selling homes online. From 1998 to 1999, Virdell was a Software Test Engineer at Microsoft for Volt and Hall Kinion. During this time, Virdell was responsible for Core Windows NT testing of Index Server 2.0 and IIS 4.0. In 1999, Virdell was a QA Lead at QualityLogic and was responsible for managing and leading multiple consecutive accounts and projects for Microsoft, Epson, and other web startup companies. Virdell also implemented an individualized custom defect tracking system used by all non-Microsoft clients. From 2000 to 2003, Virdell was a QA Manager, Project Manager, and Web Developer at Sightward, Inc. and Applied Discovery. During this time, Virdell built Sightward's Quality Assurance team from the ground up and provided guidance to the engineering team to meet milestone objectives. From 2003 to 2004, Virdell was the Owner and Founder of tSigns.com, where they developed three channels of business and created new vendor relationships. From 2004 to 2010, Virdell was the Manager of IT Operations at LexisNexis Applied Discovery and managed a team of eight. Virdell also led multiple projects in excess of $2M that were all delivered on time and within budget. From 2010 to 2017, Virdell was a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance and Testing at Providence Health & Services. During this time, Virdell managed a $2.4M budget of 27 geographically dispersed team members and achieved operational goals to engage PMO, IT Infrastructure, and IT Application partners to instill SDLC and change management processes. From 2017 to 2020, Virdell was the Director of IS Quality Assurance and Automation at Providence St. Joseph Health. During this time, Virdell promoted the Quality Assurance and Automation Center of Excellence (COE) to the Enterprise organization and led overall cultural change and adoption of QA and automation best practices. Currently, Virdell is the Manager of Platform Quality at Project Connect.

Terry Virdell has completed a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University, an AAS in Computer Information Systems and Business from Bellevue College, a course in Graphic Design, Web Design, Layout and Typography from School of Visual Concepts, a course in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting and Computer Aided Design from Dallas College, and a course in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager and ISTQB Certified Tester Foundations Level (CTFL) from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
