Abu Yahaya

Abu Yahaya is an accomplished technology and partnerships executive with extensive experience in the banking and digital payments sectors across Africa. Currently serving as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer/Chief Partnerships Officer at OPay since December 2021, Abu previously held key leadership roles at Wari SA as Executive Director and Global Head of Digital Payments, and at UBA in various capacities, including Head of e-Banking for Africa and Country Head of Products & Sales Management for UBA Ghana. With a solid educational background featuring an MBA from BTH of Sweden and a BA in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Ghana, Abu has mastered the deployment of digital financial services, product profitability, and strategic project management throughout a career dedicated to advancing financial technology solutions.
