Heidi Ewen is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in gerontology and psychology. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Binghamton University and a Public Voices Fellow at The OpEd Project since August 2021, Ewen has also been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgia since April 2018. Previous roles include Associate Professor and Program Director at the University of Indianapolis until June 2024, along with serving as the Academic Editor for the Public Library of Science (PLOS) from 2018 to June 2024. Ewen held the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia from 2014 to May 2018 and was the Associate Director of Data Analytics at the Housing and Demographic Research Center during the same period. Ewen's academic journey includes a PhD in Gerontology from the University of Kentucky, a Master's in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University.
