Rebekah Frumkin

Teaching Artist at Open Books

Rebekah Frumkin is a novelist with extensive experience in writing and teaching. Since April 2016, Rebekah has been associated with Henry Holt & Company as a novelist while also serving as a teaching artist for Open Books since October 2016. Previous roles include content writer for Shmoop from October 2014 to January 2016, Richard E. Guthrie Fellow at The University of Iowa from September 2014 to September 2015, REACH instructor at The Center for Enriched Living from October 2014 to March 2015, creative writing instructor for the Iowa Youth Writing Project from August 2012 to August 2014, and fiction writing instructor at The University of Iowa from September 2013 to May 2014. Rebekah holds an MFA in Fiction from the Iowa Writers Workshop (2012-2014) and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Carleton College (2008-2012).
