Program Manager Digital Infrastructure Fund at Open Collective

Katharina Meyer has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 2013, they worked as a Lead Curator for re:publica, organizing a conference on internet and digital society. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Research Fellow at CAIS, focusing on the impact of technology development on our lives. In 2018, they worked as an Artistic Co-Lead for smARTplaces and also as a Researcher and Curator for current collective. From 2018 to 2019, they were the Head of Research at the Prototype Fund. In 2019, they received a grant as a Principal Researcher to study the unique needs of digital infrastructure projects. From 2021 to 2022, they served as a Program Lead at The New Institute, working on sustainable future concepts. In 2021, they also led a feasibility study for an infrastructure fund supporting open digital base technologies. In 2022, they became the Head of Research at the Sovereign Tech Fund, focusing on open-source ecosystem improvement. Currently, they are working as a Program Manager at Open Collective, supporting open critical digital infrastructure projects.

Katharina Meyer completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Europäische Kultur-u.Ideengeschichte, Technikgeschichte, Angewandte Kulturwissenschaft, Kunstgeschichte from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) between 2006 and 2010. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Arts and Media Administration from Freie Universität Berlin from 2010 to 2012.
