Tammy Vu

Tammy Vu is a seasoned legal professional with a diverse background in community law and civil litigation. Currently serving as a Community Law Attorney at Open Door Legal since July 2024, Tammy previously held the position of Associate at Hanson Bridgett LLP from November 2022 to July 2024, and was the Symposium Chair at the UC Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal from May 2021 to May 2022. Tammy's experience includes roles as a Judicial Extern at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and summer positions at Hanson Bridgett LLP and Open Door Legal. In earlier career stages, Tammy worked as a Law Clerk at Corey, Luzaich, de Ghetaldi & Riddle LLP, and as a Legal Advocate for Laura's House, providing critical support for victims of domestic violence. Tammy holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences from UC Irvine.
