Deb Saraka is an experienced professional in volunteer services, event coordination, and donor relations, currently serving at Open Door Mission since August 2016 as a Major Gifts Officer. Prior experience includes directing development efforts at Essential Pregnancy Services in Omaha, where responsibilities involved engaging current donors and attracting new contributions to support the mission of saving unborn lives. As Special Events Coordinator at St. Stephen the Martyr Church, Deb planned and executed major fundraisers that generated significant annual revenue. A former Unit Manager at Partylite Candles & Gifts, achievements included high sales performance and recognition through incentive trips. Deb's career began as a Packaging Coordinator at Schering. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, completed in 2014.

Open Door Mission
Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Each day Open Door Mission’s campus offers 917 safe shelter beds to homeless men, women and children, serves over 3,500 nutritious meals and provides preventive measures to more than 275 people living in poverty. To meet the basic physical needs of the hungry and homeless, the Open Door Mission’s day facility services provide free transportation from the downtown area to Open Door Mission and Lydia House. Open Door Mission offers life-changing programs for those recovering from life-altering addictions and abuse to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
