Open Door Mission
Terry Johnson has extensive experience in various educational and supportive roles, currently serving as a Floor Support Worker at Open Door Mission since June 2018, where responsibilities include assisting guests, teaching classes, and providing counseling. From January 2002 to May 2018, Terry held the position of Adjunct Professor at Grace University, focusing on Bible and Christian Ministry, while also developing curriculum and utilizing online learning. Previous roles include Parent Trainer and Foster/Adoptive Parent Educator for the State of Nebraska from September 2006 to June 2010, responsible for training prospective foster and adoptive parents. Terry holds a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Grace University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Religious Vocations from Ambassador University.
Open Door Mission
Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Each day Open Door Mission’s campus offers 917 safe shelter beds to homeless men, women and children, serves over 3,500 nutritious meals and provides preventive measures to more than 275 people living in poverty. To meet the basic physical needs of the hungry and homeless, the Open Door Mission’s day facility services provide free transportation from the downtown area to Open Door Mission and Lydia House. Open Door Mission offers life-changing programs for those recovering from life-altering addictions and abuse to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
