Paul Stott

Paul Stott has worked in the energy industry since 2002. Paul began their career at npower as a Business Analyst, where they were responsible for identifying business requirements and producing specifications to enable IT developments and business solutions. Paul successfully delivered all projects on time and within budget, reduced operating costs and improved customer satisfaction. Paul also improved the invoice validation process and recovered in excess of £2,000,000 in overcharges from DNO's.

In 2003, Paul moved to Energy Services as an Information Analyst, where they were responsible for all IT projects. Paul managed 3rd party service providers and developed the IT infrastructure, software and processes. Paul also improved the reliability of IT systems to support 24/7 operations.

In 2006, Paul joined Optima Energy: Systems & Services, where they held several roles including Operations Director, Operations Manager, Bureau Manager and Account Manager. As Operations Director, they managed the daily operations of the organisation and drove revenue growth in alignment with organisational objectives. Paul also oversaw all energy procurement activities including risk management, service delivery, account management and bureau services including invoice validation.

In 2018, Paul moved to Open Energy Market as Head of Product.

Paul Stott's education history includes attendance at Dormston School from 1991 to 1997, followed by attendance at King Edward VI College from 1997 to 1999, and finally attendance at the University of Exeter from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, Paul Stott has obtained three Nanodegrees from Udacity in Digital Marketing, Front-End Web Developer, and Tech Entrepreneur.
