Robert Gorby has over twenty years of experience in sales and marketing. Robert began their career in 1996 as Sales & Marketing Manager for Irish Seaspray in France. Robert then moved to Arjo Wiggins in 1998 as European Product Manager for Conqueror Office Papers. In 2001, they joined Yell as Senior Marketing Manager, then Customer Marketing Manager, and Advertiser Development Manager for 118 247. In this role, they drove 10% growth in advertiser numbers and won a Performance House Award. Robert was then promoted to Senior Product Manager, where they identified and exploited an opportunity to create a new revenue stream for Yell, generating £2.5 million in year one. In 2009, they joined AVG Technologies as Global Head of SMB Marketing and Centrica as a Customer Experience Strategy Consultant. Robert then joined Powwownow in 2012 as Marketing Director, where they delivered aggressive revenue (+40%), EBITDA (+41%) and Market Share growth. Robert was instrumental in managing the business through an owner exit strategy and trade sale. In 2018, they joined Guestline as Chief Marketing Officer, leading and inspiring the marketing and telemarketing teams to create clear positioning, differentiation and visibility in Guestline’s core markets and segments. Robert was then promoted to Chief Commercial Officer at ODO Drive in 2020, where they are accountable for developing the sales & marketing propositions that deliver aggressive revenue growth and accelerate the ODO user base. In 2022, they joined Open Energy Market as Chief Commercial Officer, where they are responsible for their expert traders, risk management team and proprietary platform.

Robert Gorby attended Trinity College Dublin from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a B.Sc. in Management (Marketing). Robert then returned to Trinity College Dublin in 2008 to earn an M.A. in Master of Arts.
