Wade Malcolm

Wade Malcolm is the current Chairman & CEO at Open Energy Solutions. Wade has held this position since June 2014. Prior to that, they were a Managing Director at Accenture from February 2007 to June 2014. In this role, they were responsible for the creation, sales and conduct of all grid operations services to clients in North America. Wade was initially hired to help start the company’s “smart grid” activities, which have since grown substantially. Wade has been personally involved in a diverse array of projects.

From July 2006 to December 2007, Wade Malcolm was a Consultant at CONSOLIDATED EDISON. In this role, they served on a four person Incident Investigation Committee of electric industry experts to conduct an investigation of the Long Island City Network event that occurred during July 2006.

From January 2005 to July 2006, Wade Malcolm was the Vice President at Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).

From January 2004 to December 2004, Wade Malcolm served as the President and CEO at EPRI Worldwide Holdings, Inc.

Wade Malcolm is also the Founder of Laminar Energy Solutions LLC.

Wade Malcolm has a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. Wade is also certified from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Professional Engineer.
