Giovanni Monica

Giovanni Monica has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Giovanni started their career in 1994 as an analyst at IDS Ingegneria Dei Sistemi S.p.A. From 1995 to 1997, they worked as a senior analyst at the European Space Agency, where they provided engineering support activities for the Earth Remote Satellite data acquisition chain. In 1997, they joined Wind Tre and held various roles, including senior analyst, head of interconnection management, and head of wholesale contract negotiation. At Wind Tre, they were responsible for negotiating interconnection and wholesale agreements with other operators and managing a team of senior resources. In 2017, Giovanni worked as a self-employed contractor, specializing in technical regulation, 5G, wireless regulation, and infrastructure. During this time, they helped develop the bid for the 5G National trial, supported ENEL and other partners in developing vertical use cases, and provided strategic support for entering the mobile market. Since October 2017, they have been serving as the Head of Technical Regulation at Open Fiber.

Giovanni Monica completed their Executive Advance Management Program Intensive in 2017 at IE Business School, focusing on Executive General Management. Earlier in their education history, from 1985 to 1992, they pursued a Laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica indirizzo Telecomunicazioni, with a specialization in Indirizzo Telco - Elettromagnetismo, at Università degli Studi di Firenze.
