Denisse Miranda

Denisse Miranda is the Chief of the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) of OGP. She provides strategic direction for the mechanism and oversight of IRM assessments and outreach initiatives to foster dialogue and learning from IRM findings.

She has been involved with OGP in different roles since 2011. First as a civil society representative in her home country’s OGP multi-stakeholder forum and later as part of the research team responsible for IRM reports in Honduras, where she is from.

In Honduras she was the Governance and Transparency Coordinator for a national federation of NGOs, leading advocacy initiatives in justice sector reform, anti-corruption initiatives, and legal reforms to strengthen democratic institutions and rule of law. She also had an advisory role and provided support to civil society on the legal enabling environment for civil society organizations. In her work in Honduras, she also led civic participation programs to train and empower youth and grass-root organizations on social audit and public policy advocacy mechanisms.
