Jose Perez Escotto

Jose is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that help advance the organization’s efforts to catalyze broad impact through the sharing of effective ideas and practices. These strategies include media outreach, social media, web marketing, and publications.

Prior to joining OGP, Jose worked as the Communications Director at FIRST Global and worked for the Political Section of the European Union in Guatemala City, the British Embassy in Guatemala, and other international organizations in the region. Jose has served as a political and press analyst, and liaison between the local press, government institutions, international organizations, civil society groups, and members of the private sector.
